About the Author
Born in the summer of 1988, Amora was one of many generations of her family born and raised amongst the rich history of the Appalachian Mountains. Growing up on 200 acres of farmland, shoes and propriety were optional, and exploration and imagination were plentiful.
After several years of unschooling on the family farm, Amora and her siblings graced the local public school system with their presence. It was during her stint at the local middle school that she found her first audience. Notebook after spiral-bound notebook, filled with her smudged graphite scrawl, was passed around her friend group.
In high school, Amora found herself obsessed with reading classics such as Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin, Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy, and the Anne of Green Gables series by Lucy Maud Montgomery.
Amora’s college years led her westward to the Rocky Mountains and beyond. She spent several years exploring the new landscapes of the West. She often found herself seeking inspiration from the deserts, mountains, and canyons for her writing. Amora’s free time was spent scouting out caves, hiking through the local canyons, and rotating between genres of romance, mystery, and thrillers.
After many memories were made, Amora returned home to the Appalachians, where she met the man brave enough to take on her gypsy soul and who would months later become her husband. With over a decade of marriage and eight kids, they’re still living their happily ever after.
Aside from creating bedtime stories, Amora’s need to write was finally rekindled in the fall of 2019 when Falling for Gypsy poured from her fingertips, just to then be tucked away and forgotten until four years later when it was rediscovered and rewritten beyond recognition to become her debut novel.
When Amora isn’t writing, she’s homeschooling her kids, hauling said kids to their extracurriculars, reading a good book, gardening, or coming up with yet another insane idea for her husband to roll his eyes at and lovingly support her in it anyway.
